Plenty of parking at the AMC Cardigan Lodge. Shem Valley Road is in good shape, as well -- appears to have been regraded in the past couple of weeks. |

Nothing down low, but quite a few black flies on South Peak early this morning. |

As noted under "Water Crossing Notes," the trails -- and conditions in general -- are bone dry, with the exception of the one or two areas that are perennially damp (for instance, short section of trail west of Croo Bridge, etc.). |
