| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The normal parking area has a very large drainage problem at the end of Starr King Rd. as you enter the Forest Service property. Large enough that I decided to park on Route 2 and add an extra mile (round trip) to the hike rather than risk hurting the underside of Karen's car. Some cars did venture through but I noticed oil and scrapes on the rocks near the wash-out. Take your chances, if you have a high clearance and 4 wheel drive it should be no problem. |

| Comments: |
Forest Service needs to put in a culvert at the beginning of the parking area, the town-maintained road up to the last house is excellent. |
