Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nothing of any significance
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No recent blowdowns. Any blowdowns are now part of the landscape. Carter Ledge Trail above the nasty sloping ledge could use some brushing.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw none. Carter Ledge Trail might not be a good trail for dogs. And the trail approaching Chocorua summit is also maybe not too good for most dogs.

Comments
Comments: Nice trip to the Chocorua summit via the Carter Ledge Trail (because we wanted to add it to our Terrifying 25 list). A bit warm, but a nice cooling wind the higher we got. We helped out a young woman at the summit whose old hiking boots lost their soles. I guess I was the only person on the summit who packed duct tape. Thanks to Lone Wolf for a good hike.
