Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked in pull off before the road got bad, wouldn't hurt to find a place sooner. Wouldn't recommend even in a big 4 wheeler going any further because there is a big mud hole before the cornfield and then the road is really washed out.

Comments: Warner Forest, un-named high points of Walpole and Surry

I had planned just to go up Scovill Road and bushwhack to Walpole and Surry town high points and that is what I did. I walked past the High Blue Trail on my left and then past the Faulkner Trail on my right. It would have been nice to know that I could have taken the Faulkner trail to the top but it was an ok bushwhack through decent woods. Nice quartz rocks on top. I noticed the blazes as I started to make my way to the Walpole-Surry townline and followed them back to an open view with a memorial bench in memory of Mr. Faulkner "He loved this land". I followed the path north to lose some elevation and when it was taking me too away from where I was headed I began whacking again. New Red Blazes marking forest boundary. I continued and found a swell stonewall! I walked the wall to the high point. There is a cabin nearby just below the hp on the Surry side. I bushwhacked on a seldom used 4 wheeler track towards Scovill Road and it delivered. Nice loop about 2 miles.
