Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossings are all negligible... Easy to step over or just wade through.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some nasty blow downs heading to Mt. Success. Trails are completely blocked and hard to get around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I would not recommend this for anything but a trail hardened Thru Hiking dog. There is minimal water to start and it just gets TOUGH. I apologized to Isis for this one... You are not hiking your hike, you are hiking theirs.
Bugs
Bugs: Yes... Buzzing and biting in the heat.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing here.

Comments
Comments: So, I was heading out to the border of NH/ME on the AT... Ended up bailing on the second day as the return trip might have one me in. We stayed at Gentian Shelter with a handful of Thru hikers in a BIG thunder storm. This was a very trying trail section... Too many scrambles and tougher section to deal with. BUT there are also some great section with a lot of pretty views. Pick our poison I guess... Mud too. Lots of mud. Almost Vermud but not quite. Even though I bailed only original plan, this was still a fantastic overnight.
