Followed this trip report and found the super duper herd path that starts off of Doetown Road across from Shore Road (Near Stinson Lake). We headed up the snowmobile/ATV trail, not signed, and when we saw the National Forest boundary and an orange ribbon we found the herd path easily. Super duper trail, about a mile away is the best view ledge with a not easy scramble to reach it. The path is lightly used but there are a few orange ribbons showing the way just where you want them. Downing is a JEWEL!

Next up we descended we decided to go to Eagle Cliff West--we descended back to the snowmobile trail and went followed it further. We saw the signs Active Shooting
Range so we didn't start our whack until we were well past and the ATV trail begins a steep descent. We headed along the ridge through mostly open woods. Nearing the bump we were headed for we found old log roads and then orange blazes. We followed them to obstructed views on a cliffy area with a stick house and a fire ring and more red boundary blazes. We continued over to high point contour and walked it and it was nothing to write home about ha ha. We followed the orange blazes down to an old road that ended up to a closed camp. We walked through the ghost town back to the road and a short roadwalk back to our car. Camp gate was open adn there are signs posts with no signs. walk up through camp at playground head left and you'll see a red building and a basketball hoop--about 50' left there is a herd path and a large blouder with orange blaze just in the woods and you'll find the easy way to Eagle Cliff West. Good fun 4 mile loop.
