Comments
Comments: from parking we walked up shelburne trail (road) for a few minutes to a meadow and started out bushwhack up to the ridge extending northeast from the peak. we hit it around 2000 ft finding good open, but today wet, woods all the way to the crest. the long walk along the ridge was quite interesting with lot of up and downs with interesting bumps and ledges at least one of which likely has some good views on a clearer day. woods were generally open with fairly significant undergrowth in places. the final climb up to the summit was in more open woods with some heavy undergrowth. we ended up on a false bump east of the summit and from there it was a fairly short walk up to the recognized highpoint.
leaving the summit we went down more directly with steeper woods and a fair amount of hobblebush. when the ridge turned more to the east we continued directly down towards connor brook and shelburne trail with lots of good open woods, but for a bit of scrappier regrowth shortly before reaching the brook and shelburne trail.
