| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Very small lot off Hurricane Mountain Road; two spots available late afternoon. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Minor rock hops. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No blowdowns. Trail can be tough to navigate on the midway ledges, as well as descending the summit ledges, due to herd paths. Waterbars are mostly filled in. Lots of trail creep in the lower to mid elevations. Trail could use significant rock waterbar and step work to mitigate further erosion and trail creep. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
| Bugs: |
***GROUND BEES*** Got stung about a quarter of a mile below the first ledges (so more than a mile into the hike) on ascent. On the descent, I stayed far right in this section and didn't disturb them. Occasional deer flies as well, but not too bad. |

| Comments: |
Lower portion of the trail was generally dry with minor mud. Upon reaching the ledges, there were a lot of areas of extended wet ledge (not an issue for decent trail runners) and running and pooled water, as well as some mud. Surprisingly, did not see any blueberries. |
