| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
It would be nice if the Forest Service would carve out a parking lot for this TH using the logging road just a short distance West on the Kanc. I know : puts you on the wrong side of the stream but that's what bridges are for. |

Why climb Fool Killer from Pine Bend Brook trail? I'm not fond of road walks and the Sabbaday Brook trail is a not very well disguised road walk. Boooooring! I left PBBT at the last crossing of Pine Bend Brook and followed a due South compass bearing to the summit. Shorts and tee shirt all the way gives you an indication of what the woods were like. Not open but not dense brush, either. Hobble brush was the biggest problem. Much steeper than I anticipated though. Car to summit is about 3 miles. That gets you to the last crossing of Sabbaday Brook on the SBT provided you haven't expired from boredom before then. |
