Comments
Comments: i walked up the road into the camp following the main road up past a playground towards a basketball hoop on the left. the trail leaves less than 25 yards to the right of the hoop where a large boulder with an orange blaze on it is visible at its start. the path soon joins a series of old log roads with intermittent orange blazing and an overgrown footbed. as it approaches the steeper climbing it becomes quite vague and though in places it was evident in others i may have just been on various game paths. a steeper climb into conifers led to an old camping spot with a fire ring and make shift lean-to beyond which it was a short bushwhack up to the highpoint where there is a piece of orange string marking the highest spot. i descended back to the trail taking one side trip part way down on another marked trail to a beaver swamp with a nice view to downing mountain. i got back to the camp road just in time for a quick down pour.
