Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 2 Leaners that are not a problem now but may be in winter - both above tent site and below switchbacks
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: An easy hike - no water up high so pack extra - only sources of water in stream parallel to trail below the tent site and trickle a few feet off trail at switchback about a mile in - above that everything is dry. Dry conditions likely for those venturing beyond Crawford so plan accordingly.
Bugs
Bugs: None on trail but flies at trailhead were brutal!

Comments
Comments: Trail is in perfect condition - dry top to bottom. A hot and humid day that slowed pace for all hiking. Extra water was useful today to Crawford and will be needed for those going beyond Crawford. Wind up top kept bugs away but hot wind was not refreshing. Hats and sunscreen needed for this peak on days such as this. Saco river at end of the hike was nice to wash the sweat off but even the river water was warm!
