On the drive up we were wondering if there might be snow at elevation. Turns out there was snow at the trailhead! Only a trace, though, and it was all melted away by early afternoon. But we got soaked brushing through snowy evergreen branches, both on trail and in the woods. It is time to think winter when packing for a hike in NH.
