Comments
Comments: Since I have hiked past North Randolph many times I needed to go back and tag it! From the parking lot I walked a short distance back down the road to the Carlton Notch trailhead. Up on the ridge I headed south on CRT and when I got near the bump I was looking for I bushwhacked over a small wet area after passing by a big steep ledge. Then I went nearly straight up following moose paths. Geez the blue blazed Town Forest and National Forest Boundary is another dance party zone for moose! I went to a big bump on the line and nope but notice just north it looked higher. I looked but couldn't but I climbed up this bump and found a jar hanging from a tree branch. Yeah! Then I crawled back down and merrily went down about the same way I whacked up. I hit the trail and went back north on the CRT and continued to Mount Crescent. I went off the trail a few times to try to find the highest bump here but I couldn't decide on anything but one bump did have some small stumps that were cut?? The north view point offered another close up view of the cloud I had been inside of all day. Hot, humid and wet from the start, although bits of blue sky teased me all morning. The south viewpoint when I arrived gave me a bit of view down to Rte 2 and across the way but no mountaintops today. Fun loop and I found a lot of old memories along the way , I love the Randolph Paths.
