Trail is super eroded... which is too bad. Trail to mine spur is lightly marked... but between looking for small rocks, sticks and foot traffic, it wasn't too hard to follow. |

Super dry trails... the only water was down in the mine shaft. |

Years ago, we had hike to Iron Mt. for 52WAV. It was hot, and the second hike of the day... and our dog was hot and tired. We didn't have the steam to drop another couple of hundred feet to the mine shaft... and so I returned to grab this 0.2 mile spur trail.
Any way... it was interesting. Looking at the pit & tailings pile, made me wonder what a good bit of 'ore' would look like in one's hands.
