Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Good! Mountain top is nice with its buildings and fire tower in good condition. Sign on fire tower needs some attention, looked like half of the lettering was gone. I saw something about 21 and parents, so I figured it was o.k. to climb the fire tower. Cab is looked, but right under it is a good enclosed (by wire) platform. This is where you'll get your views.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Bring enough water. WATCH THE LEDGES,TOO!!!
Bugs
Bugs: none.

Comments
Comments: This is a nice short but steep one. But be prepared for the logging roads you must take to get back there. The signage along the way to get there is excellent, but drive slowly or you may bottom out. The main road was not bad, but the road leading to the trail was rougher. My Corolla survived, just go slow.

Make sure to check out all the spur trails; they lead to magnificent views. But I would think twice about bringing dogs or young children on the overlook, there is a steep drop off onto a talus slide.
