Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings were rock hoppable, even the 1st and 2nd Lincoln Brook Trails ones. On the way back I used water shoes for these crossings, much easier and safer.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lincoln Woods Trail, Franconia Brook Trail in great condition, Lincoln Brook Trail muddy in spots, mostly dry. Owl's Head Path a very tough trail to hike, steep with a lot of loose scree, some mud, some erosion. Owl's Head Path means business.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one tried dog going up the slide, I would think the slide is a little steep for dogs, the other trails very easy. Plenty of water on this hike as well.
Bugs
Bugs: None

Comments
Comments: Tough hike, # 47 for me. The intersection for the slide starts a few minutes from the last Lincoln Brook crossing. I missed the intersection and hiked for about 1/2 mile on the Lincoln Brook trail before turning back. Adding a mile to a hike like this made the final stretch on the LBT that much harder. Fun hike, quite an experience, excellent workout.
