Comments
Comments: had the day off and needed to do something and it looked like the rain was holding off bit so I headed north...put the goretex on at 3000 feet..it poured most of the rest of the day with some wind though it was warm..Starr King trail drains pretty well to the chimney but the ridge walk over to Waumbek had lots of long deep u navoidable puddles though it was great to see all the recent trailwork there..I looked longingly at the winter route that would have avoided some mud but too brushy over that way..The hardwood glades were in full foliage and the trail through that section was deeply leave covered which presented challange on descent
