Comments
Comments: Left Signal Ridge Tr at the old logging road 1.5 miles from the parking lot. Followed the SE finger to the top of Lowell with mostly open woods.
We encountered heavier growth for the last 1/2 mile or so. From Lowell we headed NW then N, by-passing a small bump to the E then straight up the fall line to Anderson. We did find some open woods, you can see them from an open area just NW of Lowell, but spent most of our time walking thru extremely heavy spruce. We were on and off what appeared to be a herd path but it was random. From Anderson we headed N for ~.2 miles to avoid the cliffs then started to trend NW and eventually heading W to Carrigain Notch Tr hitting the trail ~.5 miles N of the height of land. From the top we encountered very heavy spruce then eventually walking thru a mix of moderate/light (an old logging road)/heavy growth. These NHHH were earned:) A great day out with Bill Schor and Steve Moore. BTW - The last entry (both canisters) was last Feb.
