Comments
Comments: It was Ladies' Hiking Weekend 21 for the Girls With Pearls, and Mt. Cardigan was the chosen destination. I was among three hikers recovering from foot or ankle injuries (one injured while hiking in June). We did a teeny hike, all of 0.34 mile round trip but with some good elevation gain for the distance, a terrific view from the top, and the intended amount of inspiration for the lives of Slim Baker and Dean Stephens. It was nice to see Firescrew and Cardigan from a nice little peak, thinking about our five friends doing the Manning-Clark loop. They enjoyed their adventures there and the views from the open summits. They said the trails on Cardigan were in good shape. The Worthen Trail up Little Round Top was too.
