Very low and easy. Did just the upper crossing of Rocky Branch. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Everything looked good. Rocky Branch and Isolation Trails have their usual, perpetual wet spots. Appreciate efforts of trail maintainers! As everyone has noted, the bog bridges on the way to Iso are rotting--beware the teeter-totter pieces. Seem to recall a couple of smaller blowdowns on Davis Path heading toward N. Iso... |

Point-to-point hike. Did the Engine Hill BW (which I am getting pretty good at now--ha), which is SO much better than staying on trail. Lots of moose sign but no moose. Very fresh moose tracks on Davis Path toward Isolation. Saw first hiker of day descending Davis Path from Glen Boulder Trail!
Had intended to BW from Davis Path west to Dry River Trail (has anyone here done this BW??), but it was such a gorgeous day above treeline--and I sorta chickened out on the solo BW--that I opted to go UP and over to LOC Hut rather than down and up the Oakes Gulf headwall. The rest of the day was pure bliss--up to Boott Spur, across Camel, and down the Southern Presies.
