Comments
Comments: Well we headed off up the logging road and when it got to the height of land we went straight into the woods up a hill. In no time we hit the peak (we did head west to see the wind meter which had a road right to it). There is a cannister to sign which was i thought exciting as well as lots of cable and wire left there from the old firetower remains. We then whacked over to east peak, going around the thick stuff and only catching about 1 minute of thick brush right before the east peak. There is a yellow x on this peak but if you were to head east off the little ridge you will find the cannister which i had almost missed. In the back of the book it tells you how to find the foam phone wire but there is some wire up there from the old tower that you can spot too. From here we decided to head for the clearing, which not is a great view but a mess to walk on. I would not suggest walking in the clear cut. We heading back in the woods and came out to another clear cut which was a lot better than the first. We then popped back out on the road on which our car was on and that took about 3-0-40 minute walk back. Our route took us over 5 miles and about 4:30 hours with under 1000 feet of elevation gain. 2 more peaks we knocked off our list-and it was a gorgeous fall day at that!
