Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked on Brown Road about a tenth or two before the Bunenel Perserve Gate, room for two or three cars in old sandpit area on edge of road-just before the road gets steep and bumpier. A car could get to here alright but to go the remaining distance would require a high clearance truck/jeep.

Comments: Blue Mountain-West Peak (aka East Pleasant)

Brown Road past Vicky Bunnel Perserve, old skid roads, bushwhack

We walked up the road past the gate maybe half a mile and entered woods to the left (north) at a point where there are a lot of red paint blazes on right edge of road. Here we found an old skidder road that we followed up all the way to where the mountain gets steeper. I was aiming for the col between Pleasant and Blue West but nearing the col I began to cut more directly towards the summit. Things got a bit rocky, steep and the trees thicker but luckily we got out of this soon. On the return from the summit we followed nice herd paths all the way to the col and zipped right down and reconnected with the old skidder road. Nice, leaves are off the trees and we enjoyed a nice vista through the bare tree tops. Good fun whack.
