| Water Crossing Notes: |
Thank goodness there is still ONE big suspension bridge still in the Dry River Wilderness - Dry River was ROARING!!!!! Dry River above falls was a little too high for my comfort so I changed plans from going to Oakes Gulf to Isolation. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some nice axe-work on the Isolation Trail (west),,, but, other than that, pretty much a total $hit $how in terms of blowdowns and deadfall. Nice cairns along the Dry River Trail - those cairns aren't going ANYWHERE - really solid!!!! |

| Comments: |
Never visited the Dry River Falls so had go today!!!! REALLY pretty and, of course, plenty of water!!!! Despite the trail issues, this route to Isolation is my favorite - so pretty so far in. Some of the re-routes are a little obscure, and, leaves down made them somewhat difficult to follow. Nice new signs replacing those lost to TS Irene. |
