Comments
Comments: Parked at the end of Sawyer River Road. Headed west through gate on dirt road. Keep on dirt road past trail head to Sawyer River Trail and followed it until abandoned & unmarked FR83. Stayed on that for a little while picking up older logging roads to about 2100 feet. At this point we started our bushwhack up the ridge through nice open woods, couple scrappy spots here and there, skirted around small sections of ledge just below the summit. Once on the summit we had great views of Sawyer Pond, Mt Tremont, Owl’s Cliff and beyond. With a few inches of snow on the ground it was easy enough to follow our foot steps back to the car.
