We started late Friday morning and not knowing what was ahead (our first time on both trails) we called it quits to try and dry out my hiking partner's feet (wet boots/socks/feet) around 3:30pm before it got too dark/cold. There wasn't enough that had been dried out Saturday morning, so we turned around and headed back to the car.
Not terribly cold as a whole, but wet feet can cause a LOT of problems. Sad that we missed the summit, happy that we made the right call |
