| Comments: |
All trails in pretty good shape. snow on the top of lower carter ledges obscured blazes on rocks so i lost the trail (as others before me), but found it with some meandering. up until this point i hadn't needed spikes, but put them on and kept them on all the way up to Middle Sister summit. Didn't take them off until about halfway down my descent of MS trail. Blazing on the trees on MS trail is very faint and nearly non-existent. i imagine there are blazes on rocks, but the snow covers them and if there aren't tracks to follow (there weren't for me), you need to pay close attention to the trail. |
