Comments
Comments: Lower trail section generally easy with few traces of snow and ice. Beginning at 2600 feet snow and ice increased with some exposed ice and crusty snow over ice in places. An inch of snow on Jennings peak. At around 3900 feet we entered winter with 4-5" of snow on the trail and on the trees. Bare booted all the way to Jennings Peak with a couple tricky places. Poles were VERY useful. Put microspikes on at Jennings Peak and used these all the way to Sandwich Dome and all the down to about 2000 feet when there was no ice and snow. A stellar day weather wise with few clouds, stunning views, and only a hint of wind on Sandwich Dome. There are several nice view points along the Sandwich Mountain trail. Thanks Leslie for accompanying me!
