Comments
Comments: Well we set off from the kiosk and immediately could not find where the CT went from it. We found a sign in the back that there is a trail. We just walked in the direction of the campsite until I found the little sign for CT this way. It was snowing out and it had just rained so water was everywhere but not an issue. The CT turned into a snowmobile trail and we followed very faint snow tracks from someone at least days ago. We got to the height of land and saw the CT had a view spur. We continued on this portion of the CT until that ended. from here if you were to turn right you would see a snowmobile sign (corridor 18). We followed this trail all the way to that height of land. We could see the trail drop back off the other side and we turned left into some hobble bush and searched for the highpoint. We believe we found it and then looked for the canister, and i only found it from photos I had. It is on a birch surrounded by pines(we looked at the tops of trees and then found it!) we signed it and headed back down to the spur trail-had a snack and enjoyed the small view. We then went back to where the CT continued into a trail. We tested this route out to see if a spur trail was ever blazed up to tumble dick and it wasn't. We went back to the trail and right before we hit the yellow and blue markers ont he tree we went in. Open woods everywhere nice and easy up. The cannister was a little hard to find(more north west of the flat summit. Then back down and out! we should have had snowshoes but bare booted it all :(. rough going but it was good!
