Comments
Comments: We followed pretty much the same access as Bryan's report of Jan 2014. Hobble bush had two years more growth but the ridge was generally open wood. Heading up the logging road we opted to continue beyond the 1800'-1900'mark to enter the woods thinking it might be easier to follow the banks of a drainage area to the col below the main summit. We were wrong, hobble was thicker and we returned along the skidder paths on the descent even though they were getting overgrown. Only managed 2 of the 3 Black Crescent peaks today because of the short day and our slower pace. Best to come out of these woods in daylight than under lamps.
