Comments
Comments: Used snowshoes the entire time. Broke out the bushwhack which was not easy going with breakable crust and deep snow. Once on the Liberty Springs trail much easier, although lots of frozen bare boot post-holes. Trail was smoother after about a mile or so. Between Liberty and Flume; caught up to two people not wearing snowshoes breaking trail, even though it was knee deep snow with breakable crust. Snowshoes are the correct choice, especially in that section. Met two other guys (wearing snowshoes) doing a 3 day Pemi loop. They really enjoyed meeting Pemi!
