Trailhead parking blocked by snow pile. Room for only 3 cars at the end of Starr King Road. |

Very minor wet patches. One minor rock hop stream crossing (very small stream) |

Couple of blowdowns but easy to go over, around, or under |

No dogs with us but a party of 3 women had 2 dogs. All seemed happy (no booties) |

| Comments: |
Microspikes helpful - could probably bareboot but it would be a hassle. Trail was packed the whole way but not at all past Waumbek summit. Would probably want snowshoes if going farther north. Couple of inches of crusty snow at the start but almost knee deep (off trail) once up on the ridge. We were also surprised by the significant temp different at elevation. Cold!
