Comments
Comments: did this hike two years ago in winter conditions (much like they were today), but since it wasn't officially winter then, i had to come back today. oof, this a killer way to do the osceolas. it was challenging 2 yrs ago and no less so today. wore snowshoes from car to car and i wish everyone who was out there today had worn them as well, as then the trail would've been nicely packed. plenty of folks out. even though high winds were predicted, it was not an issue and i enjoyed a chat with a fellow hiker, the sunshine, and views from the remains of where a fire tower once stood (the 20 yds to the true summit of osceola hadn't been broken out until i stomped thru.) on my descent ran into a familiar face and finally got to meet the founding member of Random. :)
