Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: the road was the most troublesome part as the almost 6 miles were a complete sheet of ice requiring extra care. I was fortunate to have the fish and game boys help get sand under my car for the parking area, but it could have been worse as they did not sand until 8:45 am

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Postholes, Slush

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: several small water crossings are troublesome with snowshoes, but easier with bare boots and gaiters

Trail Maintenance Notes: a few blowdowns as usuall 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: not too deep down below, but deeper as you climb towards the cabin. 
Bugs
Bugs: no, but the cabin has at least one hungry mouse.

Comments
Comments: an moderate and enjoyable trail, but the access road was icy. I did notice some tracks heading towards the bulge and the horn, and I did my best to pack down the trail from the cabin to the outhouse!
