The lot was not plowed when I arrived around 9am. I parked just inside the entrance. When I returned, the lot had been completely plowed. |

Nice day on a loop I hadn't done in a couple of years. I broke out 6-12" of new powder up to the loop junction. At that point, a group of five passed me and did the rest (thank you!). Awesome fresh powder along the whole loop. Some of the short steep pitches will challenge your snowshoes. The group didn't go up to Allen's Ledge, so I broke out that side path. By the end of the hike there was a great snowshoe track. Unfortunately, I encountered three barebooters heading in just before I got back to the trailhead. :( Please wear snowshoes to preserve the track and our hard work! I only saw the other group of hikers, but people had skied the ski trails while I was out. A mix of sun and clouds, only a little wind and not too cold. A great day out! |
