Comments
Comments: The recent thaw and refreeze has frozen the mountain solid. The road walk is groomed for skiers and is easy walking. Both trails are well-packed, frozen sidewalks. One area of ice bulges to negotiate just above Halfway Rock on WT, where it usually collects. The upper ledges and summit are a layer of ice probably half an inch thick, covered by a thin layer of snow from last night. I got by in sharp Hillsounds for the whole trip, but full crampons would not be overkill up top.

Light winds for a change up here today and the promised sun poked out here and there. Saw two guys come up from the Rollins side, one without traction (!!), the other carrying a large cardboard box. No idea.
