Comments
Comments: Cold start (-5F), but great conditions otherwise. A little wind on South Hancock, but the views were fantastic.

Trail was really hard-packed from the temps. Boots weren't making a dent until the Hancock Loop Trail, where we donned snowshoes. We ascended South Hancock first. Snowshoes were handy for going up thanks to televators. Someone had skied down South Hancock--looked like a mini-Loon slope.

Ridge walk had many drifts and some friendly / thieving conifers.

We descended North Hancock with our snowshoes on. A couple of tricky moves, but we appreciated the traction and the idea that we were leaving a nice, packed trail. Only one group didn't have snowshoes, so things should be pretty nice for whoever's next.
