 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lots of parking at Beaver Brook Ski and Picnic area. Nice concrete vault outhouse and also a fee area. Parking area was icy with some snow and sand for traction. 4 vehicles at 7AM and 6 at 3PM. |

Some had 2 log bridges and all others had snow-ice bridges. |

Several step overs and 2 duck under blowdowns and some face slapping branches due to snow depth. |

Saw 1 on Garfield Ridge Trail. |

 | Comments: |
An overcast day with temps from 20 to 35. From just below the Garfield Ridge Trail to the peak of Galehead the trees were melting their snow load as the temps were warm enough. Got very wet but stayed warm with the mild temps and the exertion of hiking. The snow was also balling up on the bottoms of boots and snowshoes. No views today and only a light breeze from the hut to the top of Galehead. Saw 9 hikers and 1 dog today. |
