Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The Toll Road trailhead is not maintained in winter... But one side is plowed for the residence up by the trail. Sooooo, you can park there in the off season. Just use the iron ranger to pay the fee.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Ice - Blue, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Slush
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Free running water on this trail... No crossings to speak of.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Water bars might help some of the water to be diverted which may also help the ice.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No dogs allowed at Monadnock State park. That being said, I was a little taken aback as a couple was leaving their dog int eh car while they hiked. Please, just leave them at home. It's cold right now and you don't know what can happen while you are hiking.
Bugs
Bugs: Nope.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: I've got some pretty decent health issues going on so, I am staying low these days. I tried to get up to the Whites but the fatigue renders me useless to get up at zero dark thirty. Monadnock is 10 minutes from my house... Sprint ice conditions on White Arrow. Bring your spikes (which ever you choose). I turned back at tree line because of the freezing rain that was falling. Not really my thing to hike in that with everything else I have going on. I'm hoping to hike some bigger stuff in the future but until then, hike on.
