Comments
Comments: The trail was mostly well-packed with a thin layer of extremely wet/sticky and sometimes slushy snow on top with the warm temperatures. It made for slow going. If temperatures drop, the trail should be nice and smooth, but I don't think that's in the forecast right now. About half of the people we saw had snowshoes, and the other half had spikes. We bare-booted it up and wore snowshoes down. Look out for obscured postholes on the sides of the trail (which is pretty narrow).

Tom Wiggins isn't broken out, and neither is the east side of the summit loop.
