Comments
Comments: Amazing solo day with superior undercast on the Dome and Hight. Both Carters were in the clouds. Spikes from start to finish. Trail is in good shape up to Zeta Pass. Lots of postholes from there on, but the monorail has finally refrozen, so traction is perfect. Carried the snowshoes, but never used them. Just don't turn an ankle in a posthole. Joe Dodge cutoff is easy to see and cuts off enough mileage to make it worth it. Only about 0.3mi rd walk. Not too windy until I was on the ridge and protected. All in all, I couldn't have asked for better conditions!
