| Comments: |
Both trails are packed, I wore spikes round-trip. The snow is a bit wet, providing a little more traction, but at the same time it's loose and slippery, so use caution on the steeps. The start of the MMT is down to wet ground and leaves. Ice higher up in the usual places, but nothing too crazy. I took the ledge bypass and I saw someone go up the trail proper. Bare ground, packed snow and slush on the summit. BLT looked to be slightly less-traveled but still well packed. A very warm day for January with temps in the 40s and just a light wind. A nice afternoon to be out. |
