Comments
Comments: The trails had been used previously this winter but not recently. We were able to stay on the crust for most of the trail with occasional break-through as we neared 2,800' elevation. Bushwhack was about 80% solid crust with occasional spruce trap excitement. Snow depth on the ridge was estimated at 3'. There is an old peanut butter jar on what must have been the original summit. True summit is at the far Eastern/Southeastern end of the ridge. From my GPS this end of the ridge is roughly 3'-5' higher than the original. Open woods on the ridge, so it was a very good day.
