Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The Crawford Connector Trailhead parking lot was plowed out and we had no issues. A police officer came in shortly after we parked to check what was going on in the lot as he stated it is not always plowed out so not many come up there. I thought this was a year-round maintained lot.

Comments
Comments: After all the snow throughout the week, the trail was in need of repacking. The monorail was felt under the new snow, but snowshoes provided the perfect amount of traction. Between the two of us and the one other person that was out today the trail is nice and packed down now.

Once in the alpine region, traditional winter conditions above tree line were present. Temps were in the low teens, wind was howling, and rime ice was covering the junction sign. The summit was a little difficult to find as the cairn was not visible except for one random rock sticking up out of the snow. The drifts have blown so much snow into the summit area that the summit cairn is almost completely covered. We had started back into the trees past the summit and then realized that we had gone past it and turned around. With a GPS and following the trail back to the sign we were able to locate where it was.
