Comments
Comments: Trail was in pretty good shape, with little post holing, and well packed out except for the recent 2-5" of light snow. The three of us wore snowshoes car-to-car, so the trails are now well packed out. We brought crampons, but they just went for the ride, as the steeps were covered with a base of packed snow, with hardly any ice encountered. It snowed all the way to S. Kinsman where we encountered a mild whiteout at about noon, but by the time we returned to N. Kinsman the sky was clear enough to see into the distance. Beautiful day.
