Comments
Comments: Out and back via the White Dot Trail. From the trailhead to treeline (except for the "chute" style scramble), light traction would do the trick. From there to the summit, there were some areas of thick, slick, and/or boilerplate ice, which, when combined with steep grades, would mean that full traction would make the walking a hell of a lot easier. Nevertheless, I saw a group on the way up that either had very poor traction or none whatsoever, so I can only imagine what going up and down was like for them.

Aside from the group I saw about 0.2 mile in, I had the whole hike to myself. Felt weird and eerie, since the mountain is usually significantly more crowded (at least when I hike it). Great after-class hike.
