Comments
Comments: Hard day breaking trail. Decided against doing Whiteface and was content with that choice after I saw snow slabs break away from the harder crust underneath. Be careful if you head for the ledges (or anywhere there are open steeps) this weekend!

Probably the most dangerous part of the day was driving to the trailhead (as is usually the case). Lots of wind-driven snow on 113 & 113a.

Northwest outlook was spectacular, though I didn't gawk too long due to the icy wind.

Bring snowshoes.
