The trail is well-packed, with minor drifting up high. Today's bare-booters left shallow footprints but our snowshoes obliterated their tracks. With all the traffic today bare-booting with traction will be fine, but with snowshoes being optimal. Sosman was tracked out to the ski area but no tracks on the western approach of the Mt. Tecumseh Trail.
As usual, Tecumseh was our default peak on a day with time constraints and iffy (wind) conditions on the higher peaks but it held its own today with winter wonderland snow and lovely distant views from the snow-elevated summit. Great hike with Chris. Nice to encounter Kevin Rooney again after many years and chat for a bit. |
