| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of room at PNVC in Pinkham Notch, off NH 16. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No issues. The snow-cat packs down the trail quite nicely and hides any debris. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Didn't see any, and for good reason- it is, IMO, unwise to take a dog up or near Mt. Washington at this time. Frigid and windy with deep, blowing snow. |
| Bugs: |
| Lost and Found: |
Found the cracked outer shell of a snow cat beacon; brought it back to PNVC. |

| Comments: |
Did a spur of the moment hike to the caretaker's cabin below Tuck's and back. The trail was well packed, both by snowshoes and the snow cat, but it wasn't consolidated well. Therefore, until there's a thaw/freeze cycle, snowshoes are the way to go. Some minor postholing by others as well. |
