Comments
Comments: One of the toughest hikes I have EVER done. We broke trail the whole way. Snow depths increased to knee and waist deep up high. Slow going, but what a magical winter wonderland on the Carter Moriah trail. So much snow that the Sign at Carter Moriah intersection was buried. Hard to follow trail to Middle Carter with downed trees and snow depth. Decided to call it a day at Middle. What an adventure with Gypsy Hiker and Pemi. Been to the Carters many times but trail finding was very tricky along the ridge. Plan on snowshoes and tough conditions until many more people head out on these trails.
