Comments
Comments: Great Spring like day! Started out in the upper Basin lot. Walked down the bike path. Be careful of snowmobiles, in both directions. A short distance down the bike path on your left you'll see a hump in the snow (a rock), and a packed down path. This will lead to Liberty Springs trail and cuts off some milage. Liberty Springs Trail was well packed out, I only saw a couple post holes on the way up. We wore snow shoes round trip. I couldn't believe how much snow was at the junction of the Ridge trail and LST! Looked like someone had dug out the signs a little bit. On the way down there were a lot of people heading up, many barebooting or with micros on. Not the best thing to do with the snow being so soft. I'm sure there are a lot more postholes now then there was when we left. Other then that, great conditions.
